Reinsurance Group of America said today its new headquarters in Chesterfield is designed with growth in mind.
When completed in 2014, RGA’s $140 million, 405,000-square-foot complex will contain two five-story office buildings linked by a two-story atrium lobby.
RGA said the new HQ will include room for workforce expansion the company anticipates over the next several years. In the long-term, the site on Swingley Ridge Road has space for another office building to support future growth, RGA said.
The company has said it will eventually add more than 300 new jobs in the ӣƵ area. RGA currently employs 730 people who work in buildings in Chesterfield and St. Charles.
Greig Woodring, RGA's chief executive, said at a groundbreaking today that the company is happy to make the long-term commitment to Chesterfield and the ӣƵ area.

Gov. Jay Nixon said in a statement provided by RGA that the company's expansion is “just the latest example” that Missouri's stable, pro-business environment is paying off.

Clayco is the project's builder. The designers are Fox Architects, of ӣƵ, and Gensler, of Chicago.
