Fans of American Girl dolls will have to travel to Kansas City or Chicago to shop at the retailer after the chain's Chesterfield Mall store closes next month.
American Girl, which  will close the Ó£ÌÒÊÓÆµ County store on Feb. 21.
The company said it made the decision to close "based on the current challenges facing the mall property, which have adversely impacted our store's business."
The store in Chesterfield included a bistro for customers to dine with their dolls, which served as a venue for birthday party and other events.Â
Since it opened, dozens of tenants at the mall closed as two new outlet malls nearby in 2013. on last year and after a new owner is identified the property may be redeveloped, according to city officials.

American Girl, a subsidiary of Mattel, is based in Middleton, Wis., and operates 20 stores. The company said it has not decided if it will open another local store.Â
"Although American Girl is frequently exploring other locations for new retail stores, no decision has been made if another store will open in the Ó£ÌÒÊÓÆµ area," the company said in a statement.Â
