Fern is a 10-month-old pit bull terrier mix who first came to the Humane Society of Missouri’s Macklind Avenue headquarters in in late December from an investigation by HSMO’s Animal Cruelty Task Force. Despite what she’s endured, Fern is a sweet lovable pup who’s looking for a fresh start to her life. She would love a family that can show her what it means to be loved.

Delta is a 22-year-old quarter horse. She came to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch when her previous owner could no longer care for her. With age-appropriate arthritis, Longmeadow’s vets have deemed Delta too sore to be ridden, but she is sound when she isn’t being worked. She would love a forever home where she can spend her days grazing and being doted upon or used for very light lead line riding.Â
