ST. CLAIR COUNTY • A teenager from East Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ who went missing in late April has been identified as the person found shot to death Monday night in .
St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. said the victim is M'Rquan Jefferson, 19, of the 1900 block of College Avenue in East Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ.
Jefferson was reported missing on April 27, Dye said. He died of a single gunshot wound to the head, Dye said. Police found a revolver near his body.
Autopsy results are pending, Dye said Friday. Authorities haven't determined if it was a self-inflicted wound or if Jefferson was killed by someone else.Â
When he died is unclear. His body apparently had been hidden by floodwaters, and when the water went down two fishermen found his body at about 7 p.m. Monday near a picnic area. The closest intersection is North 73rd Street and Lake Drive.
