CLAYTON — Authorities on Friday charged a man with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his pregnant girlfriend.
Brandon Johnson, 42, of Bellefontaine Neighbors, turned himself in to Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ County police this week, charging documents say. He told police he had killed his girlfriend the day before in Ferguson.

Officers went to the 1700 block of Windward Court and found 24-year-old Raven Richmond's body. She had been shot in the stomach and forehead, charging documents say.
Her sister told police that Richmond, of Ferguson, was pregnant and had recently told Johnson about the baby, court records say.Â
Richmond was found in the same block where authorities say she lived.
Johnson told officers that he shot her and then threw out a cell phone, gun and knife which were connected to the killing, court records say.

He was charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and three counts of tampering with physical evidence. He was booked into the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ County jail Thursday afternoon and is being held without bond.Â
