The Reds were set to start left-hander Wade Miley, but he was placed on the injured list Friday, forcing a bullpen day Saturday.
In his place, Cincinnati will start left-hander Brent Suter (1-0, 2.91 ERA). Suter has two starts among his 23 appearances and threw 35 pitches in relief two days ago.
The Cardinals are 41-35, tied for second in the National League Central and 4 1/2 games behind the division-leading Chicago Cubs, who visit ӣƵ starting Monday.
The Reds are 39-37.

Ivan Herrera, C/DH (left hamstring strain): Hererra felt a "pull" in his hamstring while running the bases Thursday during a game with the White Sox. He is expected to miss anywhere from two-to-six weeks with a Grade 2 strain in his left hamstring and went on the injured list on June 20. Updated June 20
Zack Thompson, LHP (shoulder, lat strain): Lefty starter has begun a throwing program designed to strengthen his arm after a long stretch without much activity.
